Spacepharma Advanced Lab (Spad) - Demonstrate miniaturized state of the art microgravity laboratory to conduct reliable, repetitive, calibrated, unmanned experiments

Microgravity is a unique disruptive environment that accelerates biological and chemical systems allowing rapid and 3D growth of cultured cells and organoids as well as improved crystallization of proteins. SpacePharma developed miniaturized state of the art microgravity laboratory platforms, SpacePharma Advanced lab (SPAD). The SPAD enables researchers to conduct reliable, repetitive, calibrated, unmanned experiments that are fully remotely controlled by the researchers. In the project, we aim at developing the SPAD from TRL 8 to TRL 9 and to investigate the functionality of a whole system as swell as its sub units, needed for supporting biological experiments under microgravity conditions.
